    Misleading capacity.

Although the description states that not all the capacity is in the main compartment, calling this a 30L seems like an exaggeration. This bag is considerably smaller than my 26L Goruck GR1. I ordered this bag because I wanted a bag for one bag travel that has slightly more capacity than my GR1. The bag itself is fine but the sizing seems off. I have included a photo of this bag next to my gr1. Both with the same pillow in each. You can see that the Max is stuffed whereas the GR1 has room to spare along the side.

    Perfection in a bag!

Im a perfectionist in many ways, and have been searching for a bag thats up to my high standards for a while now. And then came Able Carry.

The Max backpack checks every box with alot of different compartments for various sizes and purposes. A big and nice main compartment, laptop compartment, safe compartments for passports, wallets and quick access pockets. And alot more.

YKK zippers in different sizes and seals are supernice. Durable fabrics all through the bag.

Somehow Able Carry manages to make a big bag in a small format, its both spacious and yet not the common black hole compartments. The bag looks good even if its completely empty which is very handy.

I´ve had the bag for 3 months now and have enjoyed every moment with it. This is a well thought out bag in every way! I look forward to travel, camp, go to work with this bag by my side.

I could keep on writing about all the good things about this bag, but that would take all day. I would lose my job. And have to sell my backpack. So just go and buy it!

    Nailed It.

I needed to upgrade my mobile office setup, after a change in lifestyle and the need to travel frequently for the first time in 5 years. The technology has evolved (of course) and now I carry a second monitor, an incredible compact keyboard, spare battery pack capable of powering my Lenovo Carbon X1... and my array of other electronics (sat phone, headphones, etc).

I've been a pack/bag/luggage guy for decades, with a background in mountaineering but also wildland fire and 30 years of business travel globally. I've got a method, and it was time to upgrade and revise. I wanted to 'two strap' it to avoid problems with my back after years of slinging it, and wanted a single bag that met 'personal item' size requirements (I often have a carryon with clothes). A setup my criteria with about 12 variables, including weight, durability of material, interior sizes (my 2nd monitor is unusually large but light), and other factors made significant by my prior experience.

Over 45 bags made it into my spreadsheet. The Max Backpack had a few close competitors with a similar rank in my analysis, but with a few subtle differences that nudged it to the front: reinforced stitching at key load and wear points, waaay understated branding, and "structure" so it would appear the same whether the main compartment was empty or full.

I pulled the trigger, and as far as I'm concerned, Able nailed it. Now that I've used it for a week on a trip, I'm delighted with a few unexpected benefits: the water…

    Great travel pack

Bought this backpack for a trip to Europe. Just got back…. I knew I’d be taking the train so I wanted a bag that I could put on my back keeping my hands free to carry my carryon suitcase on stairs. This bag worked perfectly. It was a little bigger than I thought it would be. For my flights, I still used it as a personal item in the US and a second carry on in Europe. The material quality is great and it’s very comfortable to carry even when fully loaded. Loved all of the pockets and the accessibility/function of the pockets when I used the trolley sleeve and it was turned on its side. There were enough pockets so that everything had its place and I had easy access to stuff I needed while on the go. Overall really liked this bag- functions well and it looks sharp!

    No Buyers Remorse Here

In my initial search for a new bag (around 25-30L), I spent hours researching popular brands like Peak Design, AER, Nomatic, etc., but got turned on to Able Carry after watching a backpack review on YouTube. After looking at all of my number one picks for each brand, I spent a few days deciding on which bag to get. I decide to pull the trigger and the Max and have not regretted it once. I purchased this backpack a few weeks before my wife and I moved from the US to a different country, and have been using it every day for about two months. It is a great every-day-carry if you are looking to carry a little more than a typical EDC. I can fit a change of clothes, a binder, laptop, my tech pouch, keys, 32oz Nalgene, and some other items, but it never feels too bulky or looks too bloated. It also doubles as a great weekend bag and is incredibly comfortable walk with and lug around town. It may be a bit large if you plan to fly with it as a personal bag to stow under your seat, but I pair it with a small fanny pack and simply tuck the bag into the overhead storage when I fly. Overall a fantastic bag, and I will be revisiting Able Carry when it comes time to purchase another backpack.
