Good material. Back support is good, strap system is good too! Fun to just fit things in and think of how best to position my items in terms of frequency of access. Also, the water bottle pocket is actually quite big, so I'm very happy with my purchase.
The only downside I feel, but it comes with the territory, is that the bag is quite heavy even if some stuff loaded only. However, you'll only feel it when carrying the bag with your hands, the straps actually make it feel a lot lighter when carried on shoulder.
The extendable depth of bag is very useful and increased the capacity. Bag design look cool and style.
The blue X-pac looks futuristic, and I'm glad I chose it. The bag may be called Max, but it's not too large for a 190cm tall person. The laptop case section is useful in size, and the pocket holds the laptop suspended so it never hits the ground. Tech equipment is sectioned off safely and stays out of the way of whatever else you carry. Two concealed bottle holders easily fit a 24-oz water bottle. The main compartment has a useful zippered section and isn't just a big hole. A reasonable internal frame makes carrying comfortable. The chest strap seems like a small gimmick and is functionally useless, but okay. Fully loaded with heavy gear, a waist strap would be more useful but might ruin the look. Build quality is A+ all around. Overall, it's very good. I wanted the Max EDC but am happy it was out of stock because this is more useful to me.
This pack is an absolute piece of art! The layout, the compartments, the handles are all thought through and this is serious stuff. The shoulder straps are beefy, though I have not loaded the pack fully, I certainly hope it holds up as good as MR packs etc.
I do have alittle wishlist though, would Able Carry be considering compression straps? I LOVE this model which is able to expand to 32L, however if I gonna pack slightly lighter, the compression straps would be handy. Last but not least...i appreciate the thought of having a zipper pocket inside the front compartment, would Able Carry consider to have both inner pockets with zippers instead of one (the other is a stretchy pocket)?
The angle of both pockets are sewed at a vertical angle, this enables user easy access from his or her side, without having to put down the bag entirely. However, smaller loose items may still fall out from the stretchy pocket. For your consideration please. Thank you.
Used this bag for 4 days of travel. Perfect organization. Enough space. And easy to handle.
