Overall a great contender for best sling of its size! Love the features, design, versatility and materials used. The strap being removable is a major plus for me, but it's not a good experience when using the sling on the right shoulder. Maybe if the padding was removable or adjustable then the strap would be really good. Also I'd like to see a 3,5L or 4L version as I think it would be a sweet spot for me with this design. As is, it's my daily carry now except when I want to bring my camera along.
Love the bag. Hate the strap. If the cushion could slide along the strap I think this would be great. If the strap didn’t have a cushion also great. But no, the strap is always in a position that is suboptimal and makes wearing the bag in more than 1 position awkward and goofy
Sling is good. Strap is bad
overall this is a very good sling, especially for a first release from a company which has great pack offerings. it's innovative and has a good form factor and size for basic pocket relief and a few others things. the exterior stretch pocket and A-frame expansion are great innovations and the daisy chain is pretty handy. I like the multiple strap attachment points. overall the strap is overkill but is usable. on the interior, for V2, I'd recommend two additional stretch mesh pockets opposite the sunglasses pocket (on the zippered divider), facing into the main volume. this would really help a lot if needed. the divider can be just a divider and the zippered interior pocket could equally (or better?) be placed along the back wall which is closest to the user. or, maybe better, the divider could just go away, have the back wall be zippered, with two stretch mesh pockets - that would be excellent to take advantage of the volume of the main section. the YKK zippers on the panda model are surprisingly good for PU coated zips as they are very easy to open / close, which was a very nice surprise for these types of zippers. I did replace the zipper pulls as I found them a little difficult to grip even with the design used, so I knotted mine at the ends (I used 275 paracord, in red as a nod to the brand origins). overall a very good offering and the size fits a 7" kindle better than one of the popular competitive offerings labelled at about this same size.
