FAQs
The laptop compartment in the Daily fits up to 16” devices and is protected on all sides. It’s a floating design, meaning elevated off the bottom for extra protection against drops.

Our backpacks are water resistant, not waterproof. Our fabrics all come with a layer of Durable Water Repellent (DWR), and will handle splashes and brief periods light rain.
However, like most zipped backpacks, our backpacks are not waterproof: water can eventually seep in in prolonged exposure, so to protect your bag in for longer exposure or in heavy rain, we recommend adding a raincover for enhanced protection.
Spot cleaning with mild detergent a cloth.
Please note the Durable Water Repellent coating may rub off with time. We recommend reapplying a DWR coating to maintain best water resistance.
You sure can. The foam insert adds firmness to the structure and we recommend keeping it on. To remove it, lift the velcro area and slide the foam out, and refasten the velcro tab.

I have been carrying the Thirteen for a while. Being 5'2", it fit me very well. But on some days I want a higher-capacity backpack, so because I enjoy the Able Carry design so much, I decided to try out the Daily. It has a nice layout and is comfortable, but it's just at the margin of being too large for me. I do like the olive cordura fabric and color. Just as with the Thirteen, it has some great pockets, though I would prefer if the flat back pocket had an o-ring or some way to secure a wallet. (Fortunately, the lining can be inverted, so I will try to sew this on myself, in order to secure my train pass.) The only problem I have with the Daily is that the straps are so wide and thick that it's hard to put it on without un-cinching them, and then they have to be tightened again when I have it on. I don't have this issue with the Thirteen.

Full disclosure: I own (and love) a number of Able Carry products, including the Daily Plus, but I don’t personally own this bag. So, why am I reviewing it?
I’m a bit of a backpack geek, but my brother could not care less about them. He’d been carrying a broken, basic messenger bag for years for work, told me he doesn’t care what bag he uses as long as it holds his stuff. I finally sat him down over Thanksgiving, asked him exactly what he needed to carry on a daily basis, got a sense of the size, function, and style that would be ideal for him, and told him I was getting him a backpack. He said fine. I could tell he was humoring me. How could the bag he was using really matter all that much?
The bag I selected was—you guessed it—the Able Carry Daily. The Daily Plus is my personal favorite EDC, but I could tell he wouldn’t need that much organization, and that the 1000D Cordura would fit a bit better into his line of work than the XPAC, appearance-wise. I had it shipped to his house. He took a goofy photo of himself with it on his back and texted it to me. I could tell, again, he was humoring me.
A few days later, I get this text message:
“Dude. I'm at a convention in Philadelphia right now, and this is the first time I've been out and about with the new backpack. It's AWESOME. I've been using the Daily as my EDC and it's an amazing backpack. Where do I start? (1) The weight distribution is great; I had hurt my back previously and this is the only bag thus far that I can carry a laptop in for a period of time without my back hurting. (2) It is compact, lightweight, with a sleek profile to hold all my stuff for the workday. (3) Xpac material is hardy and holds up well against daily use and wet weather. (4) Functional design overall and I really appreciate the rubber strap on the left shoulder strap where I hook my sunglasses. :) Thanks to Able Carry team for this bag! After sales support is also amazing.
